A Collaborative Spirit: Works with Coralie Saramago

My artistic journey has been enriched by collaboration with talented peers, and Coralie Saramago is a prime example. We met at the Hamilton Woodturners Club in New Zealand, where Coralie shared her experience at the renowned Ecole Escoulen in France. Inspired by her passion, I enrolled at the same school, and we graduated together in 2019.

Coralie is an exceptional woodturner and artist based in France. Explore her captivating work on her website.

The pieces you see here showcase the beauty of collaboration. The design concepts originated from Coralie, with input from our mutual friend Mike Bodey on the resin process.

  • Walnut Drop: This Black Walnut plate embodies breathtaking curves that seem to float effortlessly above the table.
  • Tour du Lac – Around the Lake: Crafted from spalted Magnolia with captivating resin accents, this piece reflects Coralie’s vision. Our dedication to this collaborative effort earned it 2nd place at the 2018 Ecole Escoulen Symposium in Aiguines, France. Countless hours were poured into bringing Coralie’s artistic vision to life.

These creations are a testament to the power of shared inspiration and collaborative spirit. They represent just a glimpse into the artistic journey we continue to share.
