Turned from exceptionally rare New Zealand Native Totara Bird’s Eye Burr / Burl this exquisite bowl is a true treasure and investment.

Totara Bird’s eye burl timber is today incredibly rare and hard to find. The big burrs were long since cut down and exported or used for some of the finest veneers.

This piece shows off as much of the true beauty of the wood with a nearly imperceptible and very fine edge around the edge of the bowl itself, creating just the perception of a shadow that makes the bowl itself pop.
